CHAKRA KRIYA YOGA
Chakra Kriyā Yoga: An Exploration of the Esoteric Physiology of Yoga & Its Application to Personal Practice & Teaching
A 30 hour Continuing Education Teacher Training Course with Hali Schwartz

Just as the practice of āsana fosters a deeper connection to the physical body (shtūla sharīra), the aim of the practices of hatha kriyā yoga is to cultivate our awareness of the subtle body (sūkshma sharīra). The subtle body is the internal landscape which houses our spiritual essence, and is where our spiritual energy centres, the chakras, are said to reside.
Through the various practices of kriyā yoga, these energy centres are first brought to light, and then brought into a state of balance, so that ultimately, their dormant potential can be awakened. In this training, we will study and learn a selection of the various exercises of the hatha kriyā yoga system, while developing the necessary skills to effectively share these transformative practices with others.
